Travelling Plans

The world is so huge out there and packed with so much knowledge for us to absorb. Honestly, through travelling, it teach us life lessons along the way too.  Later in December this year, I will be heading to TOKYO – OSAKA – KYOTO! Sooo excited with all the sumptuous food, awesome scenery and the culture over there!

One of the Best Travel Quotes – It’s so TRUE!

I want to pack my bag to these places and start exploring them. If I’m not going to pen them down, I don’t know if I will ever get motivated to think where and when to go! And I don’t want to go to the countries I’ve been to!

  • Maldives (Blue clear ocean and sky)
  • Sanya
  • France (Cheers to Eiffel Tower!)
  • Germany
  • United Kingdom (Must catch my Man U match live over @ Old Trafford!)
  • Boracay
  • Cebu
  • Harbin
  • New York (Shopaholic, just like the book)
  • Las Vegas (All in!)
  • New Zealand (Lord of the Rings had cast their spells on me)

Best Buffet Spreads That I Had in Singapore

At times you just don’t know what kind of cuisine to have (every day every week will kena this kind of  question).
Friends asked “Where should we eat for dinner later?” and everyone just looked at each others’ eyes and stay quiet for a good 5 minutes. And so the most brainless and ideal choice will be – BUFFET!

You get to eat a mixture of japanese, local, western, seafood, desserts etc… You name it, they have it!
Here’s a few that I have went to and feel that it’s worth the price and of cos’ the quality wise is great (if not it’s alright).

Ritz-Carlton, Greenhouse

This place don’t just serve quality food, they have a variety of food too. From fresh oysters, awesome stir-fried crabs (chilli or pepper), sashimi to even indian curry…! The best part is they serve MOVENPICK ice-cream!

Every time when I visited this place, I feel kind of at ‘peace’. I (usually) don’t see people snatching for food. Service staff pays good attention to all guests and serves with a smile on their face.

For price wise, it can be quite steep for a buffet – it’s between SGD60++ to SGD80++. They do have credit card promotions, one can check with them before making any reservation.

Who loves crabs and seafood to the max? I do!! This is a heaven for seafood lovers like me!

Free-flow of snow crabs, king crabs and red crabs are enough to fill up your stomach! YES FREE-FLOW!
You can see almost every table is filled with these debris or people battling with the crabs using scissors etc.

What’s more, they serves basic Korean Food (Jeon, Kimchi Tteokbokki, Sides Dishes and Beef Stew etc) , Local Dishes (Try their Chilli Crab, it’s always running low on stock), Japanese (Assorted Sushi, Tempura and Sashimi), International Fusion Pastries, Italian Pizzas, Western Dishes, Churrasco and really a lot more.

Weekend dinner buffet for per pax is about SGD68++ which is pretty worthwhile for all the crabs that you gonna dump into your stomach. Honestly, how much it’s gonna cost you to have a decent crab meal when you’re out? Do the maths!

With many people being pretty internet savvy, online reservation is made possible at TODAI website too – http://www.todai.com.sg/

Alright, who the h** will think that this place has great buffet right? But indeed it does serve one of the best buffets in Singapore.
Recently, they came out with an ‘ultimate crab feast’ buffet and it’s so overwhelming till it’s fully booked! Such a pity that I don’t get to eat it and certainly I hope that Park Royal shall have it back again due to popular demand! *Grinz*

Well, the outer appearance of the place doesn’t look that great compared to Marina Bay Sands and Ritz-Carlton. However, their buffet spread makes me speechless. Park Royal is smart with the way they play with their buffet themes, e.g. Our 49th National Day is coming and currently they have ‘Flavours of Old Singapore’ theme for their buffet. Once I had their ‘Thailand’ theme buffet and it wow-ed me with their cooking.

Last time when I visited them, per pax is about SGD40++. But now I guess with more and more people knowing this place, they start to charge slightly more. But according to their website, they have several card promotions:

  • Enjoy 15% savings for buffet dinner, applicable to ANZ, DBS, Diners Club, CIMB Bank, Maybank, NTUC and OCBC cardholders
  • Enjoy 15% savings for total bill, applicable to UOB cardholders

So start heading there now and overload your stomach with food!
